A. It is not necessary to be in an endorsed area. Taylor aggregates and auctions electric and gas accounts in dozens of states and behind hundreds of utilities. The endorsement regions are simply markets where Taylor has been selected through a competitive process to represent a city's business community and promote a citywide marketing program. In all other target regions, Taylor operates similar programs but under the EnergyAuctions branding. Please consult the service map on the link below to see which services are available in your area.
A. For the majority of small and mid-sized accounts, the aggregation/auction method produces significant savings over alternate purchasing options. For larger diversified accounts or single metered large loads, Taylor can customize an auction and consult with individual clients on their strategies and transactions. With more direct control, these customers can schedule and accept or reject auctions, as well as discuss various market-based products to meet their risk profile. Taylor's account executives will offer advice and guidance throughout the process to ensure the flawless execution of a customized, strategic plan.
A. Taylor works with many national accounts for energy procurement, UtilityModule services and utility management consulting. Our products are specifically designed to create an environment of transparency, audit-ability and standardization. Development of a corporate risk tolerance and strategic purchasing strategy allow Taylor staff the ability to monitor local markets for deregulated opportunities. While executing a corporate strategy, Taylor continues to implement locally with the best regional suppliers and evaluation of utility rates and volatility.
A. While all regionally approved suppliers are considered for any auction, only those passing strict requirements are permitted to participate. Taylor's due diligence includes contract reviews, service standards, conflict resolution, market stability and history in the industry. Taylor has had an impeccable record of vetting the supply community and working only with stable and long term options. In any given auction, Taylor will invite between 8-12 deregulated suppliers with the expectation that between 5 to 8 will participate.
A. Many of the deregulated markets have been open for many years and customers are being served by an existing supplier. Taylor has signed thousands of current accounts which were served by other suppliers prior to joining Taylor. Rather than pricing your account through one supply option, Taylor is able to aggregate your load with similar loads and shop the bulk volumes to many suppliers. So whether part of a buying group, or standing by yourself, the net result is strategic energy purchasing with the most effective and transparent tools in the industry.
A. Taylor is the service to ensure competition, transparency and audit-ability for your energy purchasing. Our process guarantees an open platform for responding suppliers to offer bids and be considered for your energy accounts. Rather than simply obtaining three bids, EnergyAuctions will also ensure that your accounts are positioned for most cost effective pricing, auctioned during optimal market conditions and that all contracts accepted meet or exceed the budgetary expectation of the auction. Taylor can offer the requirements of competitive bidding without sacrificing the overall strategic procurement.
A. Wholesale energy trades on the commodity exchanges and is quite volatile depending on supply and demand factors. Weather, energy storage levels, manufacturing demands, competing fossil fuel trading and hurricanes are all major forces effecting daily market trading. Taylor staff is constantly monitoring the markets to determine a risk profile for our customers. When market conditions exist that can result in lowering your cost basis or hit predetermined target levels, we can quickly construct aggregations and conduct auctions. Our proprietary systems allow us to work on a scale and speed that our competitor's cannot match.
A. The energy industry is crowded with suppliers, consultants and brokers that all claim to have the best prices and products. Many customers are confused and annoyed by the amount of companies sending information and making daily calls. Taylor has competed nationally and been awarded major endorsements with the City of Boston, as well as the City of Philadelphia, among others. Taylor regularly competes with the top national energy companies and is proud of our success rate. Taylor is one of the largest and fastest growing energy companies on the East Coast. We have a standard fee for our procurement service which is paid by the supplier. There are no hidden fees or costs.
A. As part of deregulation, utilities are not permitted to profit on the sale of generation and therefore they do not compete for your supply business. The utility makes all of its profit on the distribution and maintenance of your account, which is the same no matter where you buy your energy supply. All utilities encourage customers to evaluate the marketplace and choose a supply option based on price protection and reliability – Taylor makes that choice easier for you.
A. Taylor does not currently service residential accounts; however, we are developing a residential program for anticipated release in the summer of 2011. Please check back with us throughout 2011 for more information on the release date and available options in your area.
